India mein sabse pehle dishtv aur tatasky ne MPEG 2 Set top box ke sath dth service start ki thi. baad mein Airtel digitaltv, reliance bigtv, videocon d2h jaise dth service provider ne MPEG 4 mein dth service start ki thi. but ab dd free dish ka bhi MPEG 4 set top box launch kiya hai. jyadatar logo ko pata nahi hai ki  MPEG 2 and MPEG 4 Set top box mein kya Difference hai ? usliye meine yeh article likha hai. usme puri details di gai hai.
MPEG kya hai ?
Dosto Mpeg ka pura naam Moving Pictures Experts Group hai.MPEG ek prakar ki file ka naam hai jo video aur audio ka coding mix hoke Multimedia banata hai jo hamare CD,DVD,(DVB) Dth mein chalata hai.par MPEG file 4 Prakar ki Hai.MPEG1,MPEG 2,MPEG 4 aur MPEG-H.jisame se MPEG 1 File CD Player mein use hoti hai.
Difference Between MPEG 2 And MPEG 4:
- Friends MPEG 2 File jyaadater television mein use hoti hai jaise ke DVD,DTH etc.. aur MPEG 4 File ka use portable devices and Internet streaming mein hota hai.
- MPEG 2 File mein audio and video mix samaan hota hai.usliye mpeg 2 file mein hamensha stireo sound hota hai. Mpeg 4  file mein Video and audio ka mix high hone ke karaan Doldby digital sound aata hai.
- MPEG 2 file ka video download karne ke liye jyaada space chahiye usliye MPEG 2 file DVD mein aati hai aur MPEG 4 File ka video kam space use karta hai usliye portble device mein MPEG 4 File ka video chalta hai,use hota hai. Kam space use hota hai isliye youtube par video hamesha mpeg 4 file mein hote hai.
- Dosto Mpeg 2 ka video ka result Mpeg 4 se better hota hai but Mpeg 2 file jyaada space leta hai yani ki jyaada memory use karta hai aur mpeg 4 kam space use karta hai usliye streamed online mein hamensha MPEG 4 file ka use hota hai.
- MPEG 4 file low bit rate se chalta hai aur MPEG 2 file high bit rate par chalta hai aur High bandwith use karta hai.
Kaun kaun se DTH MPEG 4 set top box use karte hai ?
India mein Dishtv aur tatasky ne MPEG 2 box ke sath DTH Service Lunach ki thi. Baad mein Airtel Digital, Sun Direct and Videocon D2H ne MPEG 4 set top box ke sath dth service start ki.Baad mein Tatasky ne July 2013 se MPEG 2 Box ko Mpeg 4 Box mein migration kiya.kyonki new channels MPEG 4 file mein aate hai.agar tatasky ne Set top box change na kiye toh aage channels add nahi kar pata. aur important points yeh hai ki 2016 se Free to air bhi MPEG 4 Set top top box Luanch ho gaye hai. jisase hum kafi satellite track karke free dish ke mpeg 4 Box mein free to air channels dekh sakte hai.

What is DVB S2 technology, DTH with MPEG4 DVB S2 technology
Aap Free to air box ko dhyaan se dekhenge toh ap ko DVB S ya DVB S 2 aisa lika milega. DVB S 2 Kya hai uske baare mein apko details share karta hu.DVB yani ki ‘Digital Video Broadcasting’ and S2 means ‘Satellite – Second Generation’ DVB S2 set top box mein interactive services  system hota hai.jaise ke airtel, tatasky etc.uske alawa DVB S 2  set top box mein WiFi bhi ata hai.jisase kafi free to air set top box mein youtube chal sakta hai.important point yeh hai ki DVB S2 set top box MPEG 2 aur MPEG 4 Box hota hai aur DVB set top box Hamesha MPEG 2 hota hai.
MPEG-2 and MPEG-4 are both video compression standards used for digital television transmission. They are used to compress the large amount of data in a TV signal so that it can be transmitted efficiently over a limited bandwidth.
The main difference between the two standards is in the level of compression they provide. MPEG-2 provides a lower level of compression than MPEG-4, which means that the video quality is generally higher with MPEG-2, but it requires more bandwidth.
MPEG-4, on the other hand, provides a higher level of compression, which means that it requires less bandwidth to transmit the same video quality. This means that with MPEG-4 you can have more channels and better quality of video at the same bandwidth compared to MPEG-2.
Additionally, MPEG-4 also has more advanced video compression features such as improved interlaced video compression, more efficient compression of inter-frame video, and the ability to compress video at different resolutions and frame rates.
In summary, MPEG-2 is an older standard and it provides a better video quality but require more bandwidth, While MPEG-4 is a newer standard and it provides a good video quality at lower bandwidth.
